Playing their first match in nearly a week, the King University women's soccer team dropped a Conference Carolinas matchup to Emmanuel Tuesday afternoon, falling 4-0. Goalkeeper Kristal Garcia had five saves on the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- It didn't take long for Emmanuel to get on the board, as they scored their first goal in the 10th minute to take an early 1-0 lead.
- Veronica Roach had three shots in the first 15 minutes, with one of those being on goal, but couldn't find the back of the net.
- After the Lions received back-to-back corner kicks, Garcia recorded her first save in the 24th minute.
- She would pick up another save in the 31st minute to keep the score 1-0, which stood as the halftime score.
- After Garcia made an early save in the second half, Emmanuel picked up their second goal in the 70th minute before adding another in the 76th minute.
- The Lions would score one final goal in the 88th minute to take a 4-0 lead, and eventually a win.
- Roach had three shots on the afternoon, one of which was on goal.
- Garcia finished with five saves.
- Four different Lions scored goals, with Elizabeth Barnhart (10th minute), Rachel Wegesend (70th minute), Lourdes Thompkins (76th minute) and Viki Lederer (88th minute) finding the back of the net.
- Emmanuel outshot the Tornado 17-3, with a 9-1 advantage in shots on goal.
- The Tornado won't have to wait long to get back on the field, as they host Barton Saturday afternoon, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m.
- Emmanuel will also be at home Saturday, hosting UNC Pembroke at 2 p.m.
