Of the 53,699 people living in Kingsport in 2020, 53.8 percent (28,871) were women and 46.2 percent (24,828) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Kingsport Reporter.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 2,082. In the 65 and over age range, there were 7,911 females and 5,510 males.
