Of the 56,803 citizens living in Hawkins County in 2021, 80.3% were old enough to vote, equating to 45,592 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 22,188 were male, constituting 48.7%, and 23,404 were female, making up 51.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Hawkins County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.6%.
