It is with great sadness that we share with you the recent loss of retired K-9 Drako.

K-9 Drako, an 8-year-old Belgian Malinois, was born in the Czech Republic.  He was a dual-purpose patrol K-9 that was also trained in explosive detection.

Drako assisted in several cases involving missing adults and children by using his tracking skills.  He was also responsible for successfully apprehending numerous wanted suspects. Additionally, Drako was utilized as an explosive detection K-9 countless times during his career. 

Drako passed peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.

Please keep Drako’s handler, Sgt. Brandon Harer, in your thoughts as he mourns the loss of his devoted partner.
