Sheriff Tester would like to make the public aware of a scam where a male subject is calling residents inside the county advising that he is representing the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office as Deputy Ryan Curd. The caller is then advising that there is a failure to appear warrant for you (the victim) and you will be arrested unless you pay a certain dollar amount.

This is a scam!! No one from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office will call to tell you that you have a warrant.  We also do not have a Ryan Curd that works for this Office.  

Please be aware and be cautious.
