Sullivan County Sheriff's Office Deputy Brandon Trivett was presented with the Commendation Award

Deputy Brandon Trivett was presented with the Commendation Award this morning for his actions on October 1, 2022, while helping a 16-year-old that was involved in a serious vehicle crash.

While pumping gas at the Pit Row Market on Highway 394, Deputy Trivett heard what sounded like a vehicle crash that had occurred.  He located the wreck near the intersection of Highway 394 and Kaluna Avenue.  Inside the wrecked vehicle was 16-year-old Ella Parsons.  Ella was unconscious, bleeding and appeared to have serious injuries.  Deputy Trivett provided care, helped Ella remain calm once she regained consciousness, and stayed with Ella until EMS and the fire department arrived.

This morning, Ella and her mother, Sharon, came to the office to express their appreciation for Deputy Trivett’s actions that day and to see him presented the Commendation Award.  Pictured from the left is Sheriff Jeff Cassidy, Deputy Brandon Trivett, Ella Parsons, and Ella’s mother, Sharon Parsons.
