Sullivan County Chief Deputy Tracey Kittrell Receives the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Award
Chief Kittrell completed 120 hours of the FBI-LEEDA's Trilogy, which includes their Supervisor Leadership Institute, Command Leadership Institute, and Executive Leadership Institute. Forty other law enforcement officers from around the United States received this award alongside Chief Kittrell.
Chief Kittrell has served the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office for 28 years. He began his career as a Reserve Officer and was hired full-time four years later as a Corrections Officer. During his career, Chief Kittrell has helped initiate the first SORT academy and was assigned to the Warrants Division and Fugitive Apprehension Unit all in 2000. He was promoted to Patrol Supervisor in 2002 and continued his service on SWAT, Mounted Patrol, the Dignitary Protection Unit, Domestic Violence Arrest Team, Citizens' Academy Liaison, and Instructor in the Training Unit. Chief Kittrell was promoted to Chief Deputy in 2018.
FBI-LEEDA's mission is to advance the science and art of law enforcement leadership and promote the exchange of information to improve law enforcement management practices through training, education, and networking among police professionals across the United States and beyond.
FBI-LEEDA is ranked within the top five Executive Command Leadership Institutes, Academies, and Programs in the United States along with the FBI National Academy, Southeastern Leadership Association, Northwestern School of Staff and Command, and the Southern Police Institute.
