In her statement, Representative Diana Harshbarger praised President Donald Trump for his performance in the first 100 days of his presidency, calling it historic and transformative for the nation. Harshbarger highlighted Trump’s focus on border security and curbing illegal immigration, citing a 94% drop in illegal border crossings in March.

“This is no coincidence,” Harshbarger stated. “It’s the result of having a commander in chief whose priority is safeguarding the American people.”

She criticized the previous administration, led by President Joe Biden, for its handling of immigration and economic issues. Harshbarger declared, “President Trump has ended the Biden border crisis,” emphasizing the shift in policy under the new administration.

Harshbarger also pointed to foreign investment amounts hitting $7 trillion, indicating a revival in American manufacturing and production, leading to job creation. She mentioned investments by companies in Tennessee, such as Blow Pops Manufacturer, ABB, and Cra-Z-Art.

“The results of these policies have been more than just bringing jobs back home,” she noted, mentioning falling inflation and lower gas prices.

On trade, Harshbarger commended Trump’s efforts to revisit tariffs, aiming for fairer global trade agreements. “Over 75 countries have responded both openly and positively to President Trump’s historic action to create a fairer, more prosperous system of global trade,” Harshbarger said.

She concluded with optimism about the future under Trump’s leadership, expressing hope for the country’s continued progress.

Diana Harshbarger represents Tennessee’s 1st District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
